X800 GTO AGP + analog LCD monitor

I bought a new X800 GTO (AGP version) - replacing a 9500 PRO - to use
with my analog LCD monitor (AOC LM-800). However, when I boot up I
fail to get a picture on screen until windows starts to load. Before
then I just get the message "input not supported".

Fortunately I can still bring up and see the BIOS screen if I press
the relevant key, but what I don't get to see is the usual boot-up
info prior to windows.

This isn't a major concern, but I was just wondering if anyone else
has experienced this?

You may want to update your drivers. That should do it, but it doesn't
really matter if everything else works.

Do you have Primary Display (it goes under a lot of names - might be
Init Display First) set to AGP rather than PCI in BIOS?

The driver doesn't load 'till Windows boots, so updating the drivers will
not help.
