Something installed itself on my computer. Some programs
keeps reloading itself in my task manager... wtoolsa,
wtools, and wsup. I cannot find them in the registry to
delete them. Anyone know of anything I can do? I believe
my browser was hi-jacked.

Thanks for any help

First of all, go to START, then RUN.
Type in REGEDIT. Find the folder called
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Then locate the MICROSOFT folder; in
this folder there should be another one called WINDOWS.
Don't click on it. Right click it, go to find, and search
for "wtoolsa". The file should come up in the registry.
Delete the value "wtoolsa". Exit out of the Registry
Editor. Then go to START, SEARCH FOR FILES AND FOLDERS,
and type in "wtoolsa." An internet file should come up.
Delete it and empty your recycling bin. This should get
rid of the problem.

Also use MSCONFIG to remove any program from the Startup
tab that you are unable to identify.

Hi,
uninstall WinTools from Add/remove programs.
If it's not there, then:
Go to Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services Look for "WinTools for
IE service" in the right pane. If you find then right click on it to
Stop it. Then disable it by clicking on the startup type drop down and
selecting "Disable"

Next open taskmanager.
Go to applications and/or processes and end task on the following
[WToolsS.exe should already be stopped from the above step]:
WToolsA.exe
WToolsS.exe
WSup.exe
Finally:-
Download, install and run free tools from:-

and scan your system.
