Writing on a CD a Movie

Ok I have a DVD recorder and have a movie that I made in Windows Movie Maker,
do I have to use a blank DVD because I have tried using a cd-r and it will
not work.

The type of media you use would depend
on what you want to create. A VCD can
be created on a blank CD and a DVD can
be created on a blank DVD.

Also...you need DVD authoring software...
Examples: Nero, Roxio, ULead, WinDVD
Creator, ProShow Gold, Etc...Etc...
