Wrapping text

How can I format a column so that any long text entered in any cell in
that column will wrap automatically? I have the 'wrap text' box ticked
but any new text entered does not wrap.

If you select the entire column and apply wrap text that should do it.

Also format the rows to Autofit if you want to display the wrapped text.

That works for existing cell entries but when I paste long text into a
new cell it does not wrap.

Pasting destroys the formatting. Redo the formatting when you're all
finished , which I think would be the easiest to do and to implement.

That should be easier than pasting special as values.
