WPF, what's it good for

After looking at some of the videos on MSDN on WPF all I see are spinning
stars and other neat graphics. Is it possible and is it smart to write
business applications in WPF using datagrids and all of the common widgets.
Are there any demos of real applications using WPF? Is there even one real
comprehensive web site anywhere that uses WPF?
Thanks,

I haven't used WPF personally, however from what I understand one of it's
major goals is to be able to create a separation between the application
presentation from the actual business logic. From what I understand the
goal is to give much the capabilities that you get with CSS and web pages.
With a web page you can change merely the CSS to drastically change the way
a web page looks. With WPF you're supposed to be able to do the same thing.

What you're seeing now are mainly example apps to show what it's capable in
terms of user interfaces. I don't think you'll actually start to see many
apps using it until Orcas is released.
Is there even one real comprehensive web site anywhere that uses WPF?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think WPF can be used for
websites. I thought it was only for thick client apps. I think Silverlight
is what MS is pushing for designing rich applications on the web.
