WPA on Vista 64 Ultimate

I am getting so tired of WPA. So far, I have had to activate this machine 5
times. Once was for a legitimate hardware change (Motherboard died). The
other 4 are for Significant hardware changes THAT ARE NOT OCCURING. This is
driving me nuts. I changed the speed of my RAM once in BIOS.. Oh.. Please
reactivate. I upgraded a card.. oh... reactivate. Today.. I get home from
work.. there is a message on my screen.. You have 1 day to activate. WTH?
Nothing has changed. You know.. it would not be so bad if I could just
reactivate online.. but NO.. apparently my changes are SO major that I have
to call it in.. again.. and waste ANOTHER 20 minutes trying to get this crap
activated again.

Okay.. so that being said, What are my options besides going back to XP SP2
or Linux? Why would this keep deactivating? Is there a way I can back up my
activation and reapply it in the event it happens again? Like I said before,
the hardware DID NOT CHANGE.. so in theory, the backup should reactivate my
system for me.. so what files would I need to back up?

Get another system, seriously. I have a custom built system, plus two other
systems running a combination 32 and 64 bit Vista, and I don't get any such
issues.
