i get this error message when i try to install games or
programs on my comp. it says
wowexec has caused a general protection fault at
mmsystem.dll at 000a:0032.
choose close wowexec will close
i know its not a virus though

Are these DOS games by any chance?

You could try compatibility mode on the install.
