Would like no icon for login

I have XP Home, XP Pro, X64 on a few PC's and don't like the "look" of the login screen.
Why must I have an icon next to each user (chess pieces, etc) ?

Is there a reg hack, or another way to have names but no icons ?

Also, for security purposes, on one PC I would like to NOT show possible users - just an empty box.
How to have the login screen "look like Win2000" - a simple login box .
I'll decide which account to login as.

Control panel - user accounts - change the way users log on or off,
untick use welcome screen. this will give you a logon screen similar to that
in win2k
