i am using wondows ofice 2000NT.Have inadvertently picked
up said virus. Any clear ideas to remove parasite? Need
step by step instructions.

Go here. www.antivirus.com and do the free housecall PC clean aZs a start.
You can also look at the details of this worm and what their removal
instructions are. I would suggest going to www.mcafee.com and doing their
free scan as one may catch some and the other may catch some. These AV
vendors are the best place to start when needing to remove virus's.
