Hi,

I was happy with my trusty PC until my niece got me addicted to World of Warcraft. The addiction must be spiralling out of control as I'm now considering upgrading my graphics card to get better performance as the game really does chug in places.

My current spec is.

Packard Bell Intel Pentium 4, 1800 MHz
System Board NEC COMPUTERS INTERNATIONAL Intel i845 1.x
512MB RAM 256+256;|DIMMSDRAM;T5
NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 400
Maxtor 6Y080L0
MAXTOR 4K040H2
1 gig NTL cable connection

Will a graphics card upgrade cut it or are there more pressing bottlenects in this system?
I don't want to spend a fortune but would like my gaming experience to be a bit more fluid.

Any advice gratefully received
Thanks

Your processor is pretty dated, I wouldnt put any graphics card higher than a Geforce 4 Ti in it, because it will just be holding it back. You should defiantly get more memory, add another couple of sticks of 256mb at least.

You should be able to get a Geforce 4 Ti pretty cheap off eBay as i doubt you will find a shop that still sells them.
