Workstation won't connect to server - forces Guest connection

Hey all,

We have a Windows XP Pro workstation and a Windows 2003 Server in a
workgroup. Just recently the workstation began trying to authenticate as
workstation\Guest (Greyed out... so we don't even have the option to change
it to the right username). The username and passwords are the same on both
the workstation and the server, and this problem just recently started
happening. It's weird because it seems like sometimes it will work, and
sometimes it wont. I can't figure out why this workstation keeps trying to
authenticate as guest. I checked the local security policy on the Windows
2003 Server and it is set to authenticate as a local user and not guest.
Please help me!

I'm sorry I made a mistake. The workstation is a Windows XP Home machine.
That might make a big difference :)
