Why do you say "it may sound dumb to you" ?
You MUST have had some inkling that what you were asking is not really a
reasonable proposal or you would not have said this! The Works Task
Launcher is not a separate component even if you DID have the Works
installation disk. ....and since you don't, the point is moot at that.
I would just stop using it, as you don't need it to launch the separate
elements of Microsoft Works which should already be on the Start Menu.

Everytime I try to use microsoft works, task launcher freezes up. Does
