Could not get the 25 Product key to work in the factory installed 2007
Office. I have a new Work Suite 2003, a Dell Promotion that I never
installed on my old laptop. Product key worked, installed it, 2 days later
EULA comes up with an active X, telling me my system is in jeopardy. Takes me
to sales for 2007 office. Should I ignore this? Is this a sales pitch from
Microsoft?

The 'factory installed' 2007 was probably a trial version, and it may be
responsible for the message. If it is a trial, uninstall it, repair the
Works Suite Word installation and carry on using it.
