Works 4.0 documents

How do I convert Works 4.0 documents to Word 2003. (The files were
transferred from a Win 95 machine to an XP Home machine.)

Word recognizes the files as Works documents (when I open them as "Works 6.0
or 7.0 files") but does not convert them properly.
