Working with fractions in excel

I am designing a spreadsheet to help some of my lower ability math
students work with fractions that may appear in solving equations.
want to know if there is there any way to convert a decimal number int
a fraction using excel?

Eg: if I have 0.875, can I somehow have excel convert this into 7/8 (s
that the "7/8" will appear in one cell) and still operate as a norma
number for other calculations?

0.875 = 7/8 and 7/8 * 16 = 14

- goto 'Format - Cells'
- choose a 'fraction' format from the list
