Workgroup Not Accessible error message

P

Paul Hill

Two machines, both Windows 2000 Pro. Using Linksys
BEFW1154 Wireless Router (one machine is hardwired to
router, other is wireless). Both will access the Internet
simultaeously and operate fine. Both are set up to be in a
workgroup called "WORKGROUP". I do have shared resources
(printers) enabled on both. On computer 1, when I go
to "Computers Near Me", it shows both computers. On
computer 2, Computers Near Me gives an error: "Workgroup
not accessible. The network path was not found". Any
suggestions would be appreciated.

Make sure all computers are in the same workgroup and that all useraccounts
exist on all computers (W2K/XP's). Got File- and printersharing loaded? Is
Netbios over TCP/IP enabled (Advanced properties of TCP/IP, tab WINS)?
