Work with FAT32 and NTSF concurrently

I have an internal hard drive with NTFS configuration and external hard drive
with FAT32 configuration. The system worked fine for a while, but lately I
cannot read the FAT32 anymore (looks garbage) is there a way for me to see
the data on the external hard drive. Is it a configuration issue?

I don't see how it can be any sort of configuration issue. WinXP
requires no special configuration settings to read compatible file
types. Unfortunately, however, FAT32 has no fault tolerance and is more
prone to failure than is NTFS, so that's possibly what happened to the
external hard drive. You might check to see if the drive's manufacturer
provides any downloadable diagnostic and/or recovery tools.
