Wordpad - Default Font

Anyone know of a way to change the *default* font that Wordpad uses?

I get really tired of changing to Times New Roman every time I open
Wordpad.

Hello,

A workaround is open WordPad, type a character, set the font as Times New
Roman and save the file in the desktop.

Close WordPad, right-click the file in your desktop, Properties, set it as
read-only.

Now whenever you need to open WordPad, use this document to open the pre-set
template. You can drag it to your Start Menu accessories folder.
