Wordart and Drawing

I am stumped! I can not get Wordart to preview in
Frontpage2002. I can not get text box properties like
border lines to preview. I can not get any of the drawing
objects to preview! Everything looks good in Normal view
but when I preview, all is gone. The text apears in the
text box, but any of the options like border lines
background color, etc. of the box is gone.

Anyone have this problem or a solution?

Thanks

Ron

Do not use WordArt, or any of the drawing tools.
WordArt (and Text Boxes, and the rest of the drawing objects) use VML
graphics, which can only be seen in Internet Explorer 5.5 and later
running on Windows PCs. The other 20% of users not using IE will see
(if they see anything) poor quality gif images of your art. Further,
any links made in the text boxes are unlikely to work in any browser
other than IE.

Make your word art in esign view, then use ALt+PrtScn to copy to the
clip board.
Paste into a graphics editor (Paint will do), crop and save for the
web as a .jpg or .gif (depending on the number of colours and
complexity of the image).
Then import the finished image into your web and use that image
instead of the word art.

Text Boxes can be replaced by table cells or layers, with CSS used to
define the border around the "box".

simple solution: find an alternative to word art, which is only supported in
IE browsers.
