Word window does not fit the screen

Windows 98SE, Word as a part of MS Office 2000. Worked fine until recently.
What sometimes happens now is that when I open a document the whole Word
window does not fit the screen. The top part with blue frame moves up and is
hidden so I cannot see even the X for closing the Word window. It does not
happen every time though. What could be the reason and how could I fix it?
Thanks

I can't tell you the reason, but there are two ways to fix it.

Method 1: Press Alt-space keys together, then release and press x.
That will maximize the window, i.e. make it take up the whole screen.

Method 2: Pres Alt-space keys together, then m. The cursor will
change to a four-headed arrow. Use your arrow keys to move the window
down till the top bar appears.

A third way is to right-click on the document's tag in the task bar and
select maximize.

All those methods work fine and thanks for that. Now I'd love to know why
this started to happen -;)

Great idea, and easier than keystrokes for people who aren't familiar
with them. I'll try to remember to suggest that next time; thanks!
