Word view-whole page

Lynn Hebenthal

When in Print View and choosing Zoom and choosing the Whole Page option, the
page came up with the page "jammed" up the top and the first line of text
showed no top margin, but the ruler bar showed you were at 1". Printing the
page showed you at 1" also. Creating a new page showed a dark horizontal
line instead of the usual thick gray line. After this person called up
another word document, the same settings, whole page and printing showed a
top margin of 1".

Can anyone shed some light on this weirdness? thanks

This one threw me for a while when it happened 'by accident' on my laptop.
The problem is caused by the white space toggle.
Tools > options > view > show white space between pages. You will have
inadvertently selected the option to do this by clicking between the pages
and activating the toggle there. See what happens when you put the cursor
between the ruler and the top of the page :)
