Word Numbering

I am creating a document in Microsoft Word and I need the appendixes
to be number as A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2, C-1, etc. I have sections A, B
and C working properly however, when I go to appendix D; all pages
within appendix D have the page number D-1. I have tried to just go
to D-2 and change the number, but it changes all numbers within
appendix D to D-2. Can anyone help me with this matter? Thank you in
