Word: Embedded Excel chart prints black and white

We are having trouble with an embedded Excel chart in Word. Most of the time
it prints in black and white instead of color. Occasionally it works OK
Thanks,

My understanding is that this reflects the settings in Excel. Make sure
you're printing to a color printer and that "Black and white" is not checked
on the Sheet tab of Page Setup.

We tried this but it did not work consistently. It seems random. Additional
information: there are also documents with more than one embedded chart.
It's always the first chart that prints black and white, the others are OK.
Changing the order of the charts gives the same result. We are using Office
2003 & Windows XP.

We fixed this by re-creating (copying the problem document with the embedded
Excel chart) into a new Word document using a color printer as the default
for the PC that was used. Thanks for the help Suzanne.

Well, I'm not sure how much help I was, but I'm glad you got it sorted!
