Word Document

I am creating a Word Document that I need to send out via e-mail to numerous
people - a survey basically. I need to know how to send it out with the
"grayed out" lines so that the people taking the survey can just click on the
grayed out area and start typing the response without losing the format of
the page. Can anyone help me??

Use table cells with fixed dimensions; that way, "excess" typing in a
cell won't cause trouble with the layout.

To set a fixed cell width in a table: On the Table menu, click
AutoFit, and then click Fixed Column Width. This turns off
auto-resizing of column widths. You can then specify the desired width
of each column (on the Column tab of Table | Table Properties).

To set a fixed row height: On the Row tab of Table | Table Properties,
check the "Specify height" option. Type the desired value. For "Row
height is," choose "Exactly."
