Word document not printing out

There's nothing wrong with the printer, it appears just to be a setting on the laptop but I don't know how to change it! When I send the document to the printer the text does not print out - only blank pages!
Can anyone help or suggest a resolution? I'm sure it's just a simple setting but I don't know what!

What happens when you try a printer test page (via the control panel)? If you let us know details about your OS and printer we may be able to provide more info on this.

Does the printer work fine on other PCs?
