Word docs opens in wordpad

Hi,
Whenever I get a word file send to my hotmail the file
opens in Wordpad. I've tried saving to disk and then right-
click and open with.... but without luck.

First, the obvious: Is Word installed on your system? Don't laugh, first
things first.
Second, open My computer, tools, folder options, file types, then look
for the doc extension. There Change "Open with" to show Word. If it
already shows Word, click advanced, Open, edit, and carefully edit the
command to reflect the path of your winword.exe file.
