Word delays in typing letters i have to retype 2 or 3 times

When I type in Word, it is slow about displaying the letters. I have to
retype 2 or 3 times before they show up on the screen. The same happens when
I use the space bar. My Wordperfect works fine. I have a 2001 Gateway with
382 MB ram.

Perhaps you have some of the Windows Accessibility Options enabled? See that
folder in Control Panel.

Apologies for my previous blank posting.
I've been having the same problem as Lisasweat, using Word 2002. Lisasweat
didn't acknowledge your possible solution but I can tell you that none of my
windows accessibility options are on and I'm still having the aggravating
problem. Anything you can offer would be appreciated!

Yours,

You're not using FilterKeys?

Nope. Don't even know what that is, unless it's some sort of automatic
option I'm completely unware of? FYI nothing in the Windows Accessibility
Options is checked at all.

I do not have any Windows Accessibility options checked, if that is what you
mean by enabled. I am still having problems. I am a medical
transcriptionist and was wondering if the dictaphone software is interferring
with MS Word 2002?

I, too, am experiencing this problem and have confirmed Filter Keys is NOT
checked. It doesn't happen on all words, but it is almost like the computer
cannot keep up with my typing.
