updated to Office 2007

having issues with save and save as

Open new document, will only let me save to c:\

we have a partition on server for file storage - m:\
will not let me save the new document to m:\

I can open an existing document from m:\ but it will not let me do a save as
to .docx, will let me save with same name at .doc but not different name

this is the message

'M:\Water\W.M. PROPOSAL Temp.docx' cannot be found. Check your spelling, or
try a different path.

any suggestions????

Sounds like a server permissions issue to me. Talk to your
network administrator.

I am getting the same error with just one of my users using any of the Office
2007 programs.

It is not a permissions item either. I can save in any of the Office 2007
programs to the local disk. Then move the file to the network share using
the window explore or my computer.

I can even open a doc on a network share and resave it with the same name.
I can not do a SAVE AS and change the name. I can not create a new doc and
save to the network share.

I did read in other posting that it may related to OneNote or Windows Live.
The computer had oneNote 2003 loaded so I removed it. Rebooted it. Problem
still there.

I originally tried to fix the issue by uninstalling then reinstalling the
Office 2007 suite. When I did that as administrator the Word can save to the
network share. I logoff then in with the user account and the problem comes
back. So I check again with the admin account and now it can NOT save to the
network share.
