If several Word documents were open in Word 2003, they could all be closed by
holding the shift key and the File Close command.

I cannot find such a command or shortcut in Word 2007.

Is there such a command/shortcut?

The command still exists, but isn't accessible that way anymore. I added
Save All and Close All to the Quick Access Toolbar. In Customize the Quick
Access Toolbar..., set Choose commands from: to "Commands Not in the
Ribbon". There, you'll find Close All and Save All, filed appropriately in
the Cs and Ss.
