Importing Word 2000 document into PowerPoint 2007
Open PowerPoint; on the Home tab, in the Slides group, click New Slide and
then click Slides from Outline. Select the document file from the dialog box
and double-click or click Insert.
This approach works best when you have paragraphs formatted with heading
styles; each paragraph formatted with Heading 1 becomes a separate slide with
the content of the paragraph as the slide title, with Heading 2 becomes the
highest level bullet, with Heading 3 second level bullet, etc. For best
results, the first heading style applied should be Heading 1; apply to each
paragraph you want as a new slide.
If you have not applied heading styles or outline level formatting in the
Word file, the results are somewhat unsatisfying or nonexistent.
Not sure how the formatting will look when the Word document is from Word
2000; if the source is a 2007 document, the process works seamlessly
