word 2007 problem

I used to be able to open word and type on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. now i
open word 2007 and type but it only types in a straight line. i get a
horizontal scroll bar at the bottom and i have no idea how to make it work
like before. please help.

Have you tried going up to the ribbon and selecting VIEW and then selecting
PRINT LAYOUT?
