Word 2007 only works in safe mode

I have Word 2007/Vista. When I open Word normally, it immediately freezes
up. If I start it in safe mode, no problems.

So far, I've tried:

Renaming the normal document
Deleting the entry in the registry
Repairing Word from the install disk
Running an Office diagnostic
Changing the printer to a generic text printer (a printer was already
installed before I did this)

Nothing has worked. Is there anything else I can do?
