Word 2007 documents have a "virus"

When I save a document in Word 2007, the file extension is docx. I must save
it as an older version to get remove the "virus". No one can open files
saved as 2007. What is going on?

2007 Saves with a new file type .docx - to share with people with older
versions, choose Save as... and change the files of type to Word 97-2003
Document. If most of the people you're sending files to still have older
versions of Word, you can make this the default for all new documents in the
word options dialog box, save section. Just change Save files in this
format: to Word 97-2003 Document.
