Word 2003--Elimination of Header When Starting New Doc

This is a new behavior after months of normal operations, but when I start
Word 2003, the cursor is flush at the top of the screen. When I type, the
text appears cramped against the top of the page (no header space/indent).
The header is, in fact, still there and it prints OK, but on screen the text
is jammed hard against the top. Any ideas about how to make it behave
"properly" (i.e., appear with the inch indent from the top)? Thanx in
advance!

You have got white space between pages hidden - either go to Tools > Options
View and check "White space betwen pages (print view only)" under the
Print and Web Layout Options header or move your mouse to the very top of
the page until the cursor changes to a double arrow logo (with a tooltip of
"Show White Space") and cllick.
