WORD 2003 ABODE PROFFESSIONAL

Guest

I recently had word 2003 and abobe acrobat 6.0 professional installed on a new computer. Word is extremely slow in opening and I have been told that it is due to adobe. Has anyone had any experience with this?
My feelings is that it is a setting problem.

Thanks

The way to check whether Acrobat 6 is the problem, is to temporarily remove
the add-in from the Office start-up folder. It doesn't add much to the
startup speed of Word here. A more likely candidate is the Office plug-in of
Norton AV.

Had similar situation when unpgraded from MS Office 97 to XP. Also problem when click FONT - very slow to open drop-down menu. My problem was the driver for my printer was not working properly. Resolved when found another (obscure) driver and the Word problems went away. Hope this helps (O:
