The Ctrl+Home does not get me to the beginning of document. It appears as if
I had hit Ctrl+H which gives a Find and Replace box. I have to use arrows to
get to the beginning of document. How can I change this.
Also, when I press the delete key, at the bottom of the page a message comes
up Delete Block No (Yes)? I would like to be able to delete without having
to answer this question.

Hi Brenda,

Go to Tools > Options > General and untick the two WordPerfect options.
