I have Microsoft Word 2000 in my Window 98SE pc. Now, when I click on the
Word Applicatrion program, it will open the usual word page and over it, it
will appears

Window Installer:prepare to install - Welcome to Miscrosoft Word 2000
...........
and ask for the CD key which I dont have as these come with my PBell pc. (I
have the Microsoft WORKS 2000 CD but there is no CD key on the envelope)

What is the best solution for me to get 'Word' application going again. I
have the Office XP disc (with CD key). How can I uninstall Word 2000? I look
into the Add/Remove prog and there is non that I can add/remove.

I also run SFC and it says TBROWSER.LL is corrupted and is located at
c:\program file\common files\Adobe\Media Browser.
How do I fiix this as I cant find Adobe in the Add/Remove.

I have in C:\Acrobat 4 folder
C:\program file\Adobe folder

Appreciate if someone can advice how can I solve these 2 problems.

If this machine was bought retail, go back to the
seller and tell them they owe you the keys to go with
the progs.
You must have th CD keys or you can't reinstall.
That includes XP maintenance too.

If not, you're probably out of luck. You might want to
start over and redo everything so you'll know what you
have and what you can install (or not).

Its an old Packardbell and I dont think the 'Word 2000' is inside the master
cd. I dont want to reformat as there are many other stuff so will have to
check with them. Can I uninstall this Word 2000 and install just the Word
from Office XP version. If so how do I uninstall, do I just right click the
'Word' and delete? Thanks

NO! Please notice the fact that I used all capital letters to emphasize
that. You go in thru your Control Panel, Add/Remove programs.

When I go to my OE, basically there are no description about the newsgroup,
so which one do I subscribe choose? Forr example my posting here, which
newsgroup should I subscribe so that I will have easy access and can have a
copy of all the respondents to my posting, thanks

I'm confused. What does finding a newsgroup have to do with uninstalling
Word? (Bear with me, it's early.)

I should have said that the' WORD' is ok now as I got yhe CD Key from the
vendor.

And instead of posting a new enqiry in a fresh colunm, I thought I will post
it in the same enquiry so that it may make things clearer. So which newsgroup
should I scbribe if I want to keep this posting and for easy reference when I
open my OE, thanks
