I have also been having problems with my mail not deleting from the deleted
folder and have had some emails stuck in the Outbox. Emails won't send at
all. It appears to be disconnecting right after it recevies messages. Help!!

When email is stuck in the Outbox, often there are problems with sending
any more.

Download and install this fix, with Windows Mail not running:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works in
other folders. If you don't know whether to use the 32-bit version or
the 64-bit version, try the 32-bit version first. Certain common
antivirus programs, such as most as those from Norton or McAfee,
or a recent one from Trend, tend to cause various problems in
Windows Mail, although seldom immediately.

Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer
that is running Windows Vista

It also works on other folders

Which antivirus are you running?
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee and
Norton security programs. Those will need to be
uninstalled, not just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see
