won't remote reboot

PC's won't execute a remote reboot while sitting at the
Novell login screen. Any ideas? I've tried various
shutdown executables and vb scripts.

Hi Sarah,

What location are executing the reboot tool from ?
At the loginscript a workstation has no authenticated connection to the
network (except when using ZEN) so it uses the default rights for [Public]
Try starting from \\server\sys\login\reboot.exe after checking that [Public]
has RF rights to this directory.

Hi Sarah,

trying updating the version of the Novell Client. This was a problem in some
older versions.
The current versions are 4.83 SP2 + patch E or 4.90 with patch B (I
believe), however 4.90 Service Pack 1 is currently in beta (unless you need
the new features in 4.90, I'd use 4.83 SP2 + E).

If you don't want to upgrade the client, a workaround is to configure the
PCs to require Ctrl-Alt-Del to login (the machines will reboot when at the
"Ctrl+Alt+Del to Login" screen).
