wont recognize epson printer driver

I downloaded the newst version of Epson printer
driver, for 875dc printer because the software that came
with the printer was not for xp. When I tried to install
the printer, I got a message, driver won't pass windows
logo test.
I called Epson, and they said the driver I downloaded was
their latest version, and that the problem was in he
computer.
I unzipped the downloaded file into a folder called epson.
Does anyone know where can I look for the reason why
windows doesn't recognize their driver?

Microsoft requires each hardware driver to be "signed" by Microsoft. This
is their way of make sure the hardware works correctly in XP.
Unfortunately, the manufacturers do not send each driver version to
Microsoft, testing/certification and "signing". You should still be able to
install the driver, just have to say "Continue (???)" after the "Windows
Logo Test" message.
