Got it today, GAME shop, Bexleyheath, £30.00. Added bonus - flamethrower unlock from start of game, I got the last one with the bonus in the shop.

It's great :thumb: :)

Haven't tried multiplayer yet, I do hear it's still having problems, but I bought it for the single player anyway.

By coincidence, I'm playing original Return To Castle Wolfenstein through again atm (almost finished it) and the new one carries on the spirit.

Graphics are good, gameplay is good, very enjoyable.

Anybody else got it yet?

As I mentioned above the multiplayer has come in for a lot of stick with some folk claiming it was released unfinished but the greater majority of comments about the single player game that I have seen have been positive.

If you liked the original, you'll like this, in my opinion.

It was actually like a breath of fresh air to start playing a good old-school fps after all this time, especially after the last 2 CoD single players were something of a disappointment.

I've also been playing a lot of single player FEAR 2 lately, that's good but it's nothing different and the graphics aren't that great. It's also set 95% indoors so can be a little claustrophobic. Having said that, I'm enjoying FEAR 2 a lot and there are some genuinely scarey bits in it.

I really enjoyed RTCW, so perhaps I should give this a go :D Is it in the same sort of style?

Here's the official site with more info and screenshots if anyone is interested:

I can't seem to find a demo of it anywhere though?

Been thinking about it, like Alf said not everyone thinks it all that. :(

I'd want it more for MP myself.

Yes it is :)

It has the same spirit as the original.

I have to say I'm thoroughly enjoying the single player version of this game.

It's nothing really special or different or outstanding but at a time when fps's are a bit thin on the ground, this old style shooter is very welcome.

I still haven't tried multiplayer but I'll get round to it soon.

Just tried multiplayer for the first time.

The first thing the game done when I selected multiplayer was lock me to a black screen within Vista.

No surprise, other games have done this too, that's Vista for you.

Hard reset, 'Start Windows Normally' and I'm into the game.

First thing it done was auto-download and install patch 1.1.

The multiplayer game appears to be running without fault, this is a good thing.

What's it like?

It ain't no CoD4 or CoDWAW that's for sure.

Remember Medal of Honor? Reminds me of that.

Probably better, and to remind me of the first online game I ever got into is probably no bad thing, but this is 2009.

Mildly entertaining, but not for me.

I may come back to it in the future, I may not.

To sum up: Single player game: Lottsa fun. Multiplayer game: been there, done that, dull.

Wolfie

Well folks....i really got stuck into Wolfie today. I did the first four levels and now i'm wrecked.
It's good enoughto keep me sucked in always wanting more but its time to hit the z masheen now.
Its good so far reminding me of tombraider and far cry combined and it has a few twists that make ya use the ole noggin.
Can't wait til i get the bigger guns though lol. Typical.

It's worth picking up.
