Wndows Updates affecting Internet connection

Very often after Windows has automatically downloaded updates I lose my
connection to the Internet (wireless connection) and have to use Systems
Restore to fix it. Can I prevent this happening? I am using Windows Vista
Basic.

Hi,

Rather than running system restore, try reinstalling your network adapter
drivers after the update. Download a fresh set from the manufacturer prior
to applying the updates so that you have a fresh set available.

Wouldn't it be easier and quicker yet to click on the Network Icon in the
Systray and do a Diagnose and Repair?
Just a thought.

No, because that doesn't reinstall drivers.

In the future look at each update that is checked "prior" to you installing
it. If the update is for your wireless connection remove the check and hide
the update so you won't be tempted to install it.

Get all wireless updates from the device manufacturer.
