WMP9 autostarts on CD insert even though all file format autoplays are disabled

It's really getting on my nerves since ive set winamp for default player and
then having both of em start up every single time i insert a cd is just
plainly annoying, i dont want to uninstall WMP9 though since its good for
playing video files, anyone have / have had the same problem and know what
to do about it?

Try this: Select your CD-ROM drive, right-click it and choose Properties. There, go to Autoplay and choose Music CD. See if WMP is selected as the default player for the program. If so, you can either choose Take No Action when you insert a CD, or select Winamp, if it's there.
