WMP 11, DRM, WInXP Pro

I'm getting a DRM error when attempting to view Netflix streaming videos on
my machine. I'm running an integrated Radeon X1200 graphics card w/ Catalyst
7.10, SP2 installed, IE7, and WMP 11. My only display is a Sharp HDTV,
driven over an HDMI connection from my motherboard.

I've tried the DRM reset tool in Netflix' FAQ, as well as the DRM upgrade
ActiveX thing that MSFT links you to. Neither work.

I need to try a DVI connection, but don't have a cable handy. But is there
any reason I shouldn't be able to view stuff over HDMI?

TIA, Matt

Thanks for the suggestion - I tried the DXDIAG tool, and the video adapter
did fail the full screen bouncing white box test (but passed the overlay
version of that test). So I downloaded and installed the DirectX update,
with no change to the Netflix problem. I click on an instant play title, and
the player loads in IE, but when the red+black status bar Netflix page goes
away I get the error and the link to the ResetDRM tool.

After I got the Netflix error, I ran the Reset DRM tool. This went fine,
and I was then prompted to install some sort of WMP update, which also wen
fine, and then when I went to try it out, it gave me the same ResetDRM error
as before.

DVDs will also not play in Windows Media Player (though they will play on
Media Player Classic). When I attempt to play a DVD, I get the following
error:

Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with
digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. Try
installing an updated driver for your video card.

Just to follow up on that post, I have tried the latest ATI driver, with no
change. ATI/AMD told me I should try the 7.10 driver, as it fixes the
problem, but I haven't found that to be the case. I am, however, reluctant
to go back to 8.1.
