wmm won't open!

i imported a bunch of videos into collections, and the program was still
running fine. i restarted my computer for something else, then when i went to
open movie maker again it frose for a long time before giving me an error
message that gave the the option to quit or debug, i hit quit, and now when i
try to open it just comes up for a second and then closes, without giving me
any debug options or anything!

also i already tried deleting internet explorer, and renaming a file in the
local settings folder... those were really the only two that i understood how
to do, so any other help you can think of, and please explain in simple terms
i am not too computer savvy! thanks!
