WMA converter and Nero

I have 2 questions:

1. Are there any free programs out there that will
convert from WMA to MP3?

2. I have taken some of the CDs I bought and ripped them
using Windows Media Player. When I converted them, I
left "Copy Protect Music" checked on Windows Media
Player. Now, when I go to make a CD with Nero, it tells
me that the content is protected (duh!). Is there a way
to "unprotect" the music files I currently have?
