WM player vs WM Player 10

I currently have WM 9 installed yet, if I try to play a video it gives me an
error message that I am missing the required codec. Attempts to find and
download the proper codec do not work. I tried to install WM 10 and it will
not finish, it gives me an error code 2753 with no other explanation. This
error code is not even recognized in the MS error code database. I can't
uninstall WM 9, it gives me the same error. I even used my XP Pro install
disk to remove WM Player and then reinstalled it ----same thing.
ANY suggestions?????

for the more unusual codecs you need to install a "codec pack". use
google to find one, they're out there.
