wjview error on startup

I have not been able to resolve this startup error message:
"wjview error: unable to locate system class:
java/lang/object"

I have downloaded the service pack for IE and searched the
Knowledge Base and my ME reference book but cannot find an
answer. I'd be very grateful for any advice.
