Wireless

Wayne Gonzalez

I have a Toshiba laptop with mfg installed windows XP
Home. I installed Linksys adapter WPC54G card and it
won't work. Card and network checks out on other
computors. Linksys and Toshiba says its Microsoft issue -
Computor sees card - but it won't work in wireless mode.
Cable internet connection works fine on hard cable - just
not wireless. Says: "Wireless connection unavailable"
Have tried everything that Linksys and Toshiba knew to
do. Help please

Hi Wayne,

1. Verify the card is enabled (right click/enable) via Network Properties.
2. Make sure it is set to MS Home or other to match.
3. If using WEP - follow through there.
4. Remove all other listings from here: Start/Run/Regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\{}
