Has anyone else tried to install a pci wireless adapter
to their windows 2000 pc. I am trying but the pc does
not see the adapter. I have installed sp4. This does
not help. The installation wizard does not pick up the
device. I tried loading the driver manually but I cannot
find the device type. I am tired fooling with it. Any
suggestions would be appreciated.

Check the hardware manufacturer's web site for the latest Windows 2000
driver and instructions for your device.

I will try that. The adapter said it was windows 2000
compatible, so I would liked to have believed that meant
it came with everything it needed. But then again, I
live in the real world. :) Thanks

I recently installed one and had the same problem when I
installed Win2000Pro with the PCI adaptor already in the
computer. I took the PCI adaptor out and re-inserted and
the computer recognized it fine. You can try this.
